Style Your Kicks: A Weekly Guide on How to Properly Style Your Kicks

Starting this Friday and every Friday thereafter, FollowTheKicks is giving you exclusive tips on How to Style Your Kicks. One of the most common critiques about sneakerheads is that their fashion sense is off. But, after spending so much on kicks getting together the proper outfit may be the last thing on your mind. This weekly fashion guide will include recent releases and upcoming and will also show sample outfits for both women and men.
I will admit one thing, I have a bias for black, gold, creme, and white. The are some of my favorite colors to style with on a daily basis. But, don't feel like the sample outfits are the end all as they are based on my own personal opinions.
The First outfit we'll take a look at is directed toward the men. Now, depending on where you live, the weather is pretty up and down right now as we transition from winter to spring. In this outfit I chose to use black as a starting point and then added in more lively colors like gold and the pants. I also added a playful portion with the new popular canvas style shoes available by shoe companies like Reebok. If you're looking for any of the items you can cop them over at Karmaloop. Next up we'll take a look at the women's outfit. Now ladies, you know that often times your days get so busy that you have to travel to multiple places on a daily basis. Well, your look can easily work for both day and errands. To start off I found a nice pair of leather shorts, as leather is making a huge comeback for spring and summer in trendy new ways. I kept the outfit light with a nice white blouse, black leather clutch and simple watch. Also, Nike's new Dunk Sky Hi for women are the perfect way to go from a busy day time to a nice evening of hanging with friends. Take a look at the image below; all items are available at Karmaloop.
