Style Your Kicks: A Weekly Guide on How to Properly Style Your Kicks

On this week's edition of Style Your Kicks we're taking inspiration from a shoe releasing this weekend (April 20) and a shoe we previewed earlier this week.
The thing I like the most about being a kick enthusiast is that you don't always have to go all out in your wardrobe to look nice while rocking your kicks. For example, you can catch a lot of people rocking legging or basketball shorts with a fresh pair of kicks. We'll start by taking a look at the outfit I put together for the ladies this week.
I started off the look with a very casual mindset by choosing the Beauty & Youth x New Balance W996. The best thing about spring and summer trends is the use of lighter pastel-like or mint colors. I paired the outfit with a nice pair brownish/tanish/pastel colored capri pants and a mellow yellow shirt. To play off the gold accents on the shoe, I also added gold and cognac accessories. You can cop all these items by heading over to Karmaloop, enjoy an extra 20% off your purchase by using rep code FTK.
Next look we'll check out is especially for the fellas with this weekends Air Jordan 8 "Bugs Bunny" release. The best thing about accessorizing shoes like these is that you don't have to do too much and you can pretty much play off of any color in the shoe. For example, I added the red watch by G-Shock to show you're not afraid to add color. When wearing a white shoe you don't always have to go white for your shirt choice or for accessories. Take a look at the items below and cop any of the clothes by heading over to Karmaloop and using rep code FTK.
Thank you for reading this week's edition of "Style Your Kicks" and remember to spice it up a little bit when it comes to your spring wardrobe. Stay tuned for next week's looks and keep it locked to FollowTheKicks for more sneaker news and updates.
