Style Your Kicks

The thing about being a sneakerhead and streetwear fashion is you can mix brands and constantly switch up your style. Right now, joggers are the staple of any good closet and it seems like they're the most comfortable alternative to jeans and not as casual as sweat pants. The outfit below features the Air Jordan 4 "Columbia/Legend Blue" available for purchase in a size 10.5 through www.FollowTheKicks.net . Take a look at the outfit below and let us know how you style your Legend Blue 4's.

Style Your Kicks: Outside the Shoe Box

When it comes to men's fashion Kanye West is always a good go to guide on how to stay stylish while rocking sneakers. One of the best trends he rocks often is denim on denim. The thing about the denim trend is that it works best when the denims aren't an exact match as seen below with Kanye west. There's so many options as far as range goes. You can play with it a little not only in the color denim you choose, but also in the sneaker you pair it with. You can purchase denim shirts from retailers like Asos, H&M, J. Crew and Stamp'd LA.

Check out the examples below and tag your pictures on Instagram with #FollowTheKicks so we can check out how you rock the #denimtrend.

Style Your Kicks: A Weekly Guide on How to Properly Style Your Kicks

Every week for Style Your Kicks we do our best to show two outfits featuring the hottest trends to help inspire your kickspirations and this week is no exception. Starting off let's take a look at the men's outfit featuring the Nike SC Trainer "NYC All-Star" available now through select sneaker retailers. Summer is the perfect time for men to break out their light wash jeans and shorts to pair with lighter colorways like these kicks. I paired the light blue jeans with a silver and black Nixon watch and a Biggie-inspired bear tank top. Take a look at this week's outfit pick and use it to inspire your own style.
As a woman on the go I'm constantly running errands throughout town, so I'm always looking for an easy, yet stylish outfit to put on. And as fully disclosed, black is one of my favorite colors to wear when running errands and such. For the women I chose a pair of Nike Sky High Dunks for the ladies paired with black jeans and a gold Nixon watch. Always remember, when it comes to a quick wardrobe choice keep it simple and keep it classy. Avoid things like see through leggings and short t-shirts. Take a look at the outfit below and be sure to keep it locked to FollowTheKicks for the next edition for "Style Your Kicks".

Style Your Kicks: A Weekly Guide on How To Properly Style Your Kicks

It's that wonderful time of week again where unless you work weekends, when the clock says its time to go you are out the door to enjoy your weekend. So, since this week Reebok announced that three new Question colorways will be releasing including a GS model, we chose to do a special Reebok Question edition of "Style Your Kicks". Lets start things off with the ladies outfit today.
Now, unless you've been hiding under a rock or completely ignoring everything I say you know that not only is black one of my favorite colors, but black leather is one of this summers hottest and sexiest trends. So for this week I chose the Reebok Question GS Black/Purple-Emerald "Snake" and paired it with a peplum leather top. The major mistake that a lot of people make is wearing a crop top with extremely short shorts and that okay for places like the beach, but not for day to day activities like running errands. I also added some mint nail polish to bring out the mint accents on the sneaker and laces shorts. Take a look at this week's outfit and use it to inspire your own style.
Now, jumping over to the men's outfit I chose the Reebok Question "Year of the Snake" for this week's shoe. One of the things I like to do when looking for items to add into an outfit is to look for the smallest amount of color in the shoe, and illuminate it by making it the main focus in your outfit and that's exactly what I did this week. Also, I really like the faded brownish/ khaki jeans to bring out the copper details on the shoes. Take a look at the outfit below and keep it locked for next week's edition of "Style Your Kicks".

Style Your Kicks: A Weekly Guide on How to Properly Style Your Kicks

Welcome back to another edition of Style your Kicks. This week I chose to stick with the acronym K.I.S.S -Keep It Simple Stupid- and that's how I approached each outfit. So let's start right off with the men's outfit. For this week I chose the Reebok Shaqnosis that are releasing tomorrow in a black/white colorway. The shoe in itself is boring colorwise but I really wanted to keep things simple so i paired it with red jeans and a a black and white tee that speaks for itself. To top off the look for a man on the go I added a black/dark grey watch and black backpack. Check out the outfit below and snag some inspiration for your style. Also cop your pair from Karmaloop and save 20% off your purchase using Rep Code FTK.
Next up we'll take a look at a special Nike Air Max 1 GS sneaker in a blue/volt colorway. One of my favorite trends besides leather in the summer and crop tops are the amazing graphic tees popping up all over the place. A graphic tee is your opportunity to give people a quick glimpse of your personality while adding some youth to your look. Another trend that's slowly fading but still good for this summer are bright neon greens and yellow so I made sure to accentuate the volt accents on the air max. Check out the outfit below and keep it locked to FollowTheKicks next Friday for another edition of Style Your Kicks.
